Fake News Collaborative Assignment with Printmaking I, Special Topics: Alternative Processes and Artists' Books, Spring 2023
Assignment 5: Kaleena Stasiak's Printmaking I and Lindsay Godin's Alternative Processes and Artists' Book Special Topics classes teamed up to create a Fake News Accordion Book. In Godin's class, obscure archives were carefully selected from the Library of Congress and given to Stasiak's Printmaking students to interpret and respond to using a headline. Printmaking students printed the photographs using pronto plate lithography and screen printing techniques. The book pages were then given to Godin's class to assemble into a 22-edition accordion book.
